Battery charger: EnerSys, a provider of
stored energy solutions for industrial applications, has expanded its charger product portfolio to include the Express EnCore high-frequency modular fast chargers.
Express EnCore modular fast
chargers are engineered with
the digital power-control technology that allows batteries
designed for fast charging to be
safely charged any time during
the shift-day. With high charge
rates, most two-shift and some
two- to three-shift operations
can avoid changing batteries
during the shift-day, EnerSys
says. Express EnCore modular fast chargers
offer charging with high efficiency and flexibility, while packaged in compact sizes.
The modular construction adapts to a wide
range of battery capacities, allowing potential
reduction of the number of chargers in a fleet.
Charger modules are automatically switched
off and on based on charge-cycle requirements in order to achieve optimum charging
performance and maintain peak efficiency at
all times. Should a module develop a minor
fault, the charger bypasses the module for
continued operation and continuation of the
charging process without interruption.
These modular fast chargers utilize the
EnerSys Express Fast Ionic charge profile
to continually diagnose battery condition
throughout the charging process for the most
effective and efficient charge possible. In
addition, this charging profile’s use of short
diagnostic current pulses acts to shorten the
full charge time by effectively mixing the electrolyte in less time.

an easy-to-read 4.3-inch multicolor LCD dashboard screen, an easy-to-use programmable
menu, and a USB port to download, upload,

neutral NVOCC (nonvessel-operating common carrier) and ocean freight consolidator,
has announced the release of its freight
management app. The new CaroTrans
Mobile App, which is available as a free
download for both Android phones and the
iPhone, includes such features as track and
trace, less-than-containerload (LCL) ocean
rates, door-to-port rates, sailing schedules,
inland rates, and less-than-truckload rates.
Additional capabilities will be available in the
