Enhanced proof-of-delivery software:
Paragon Software Systems has enhanced the
reporting capabilities of its fleXipod electronic
proof-of-delivery software with the launch
of a new dashboard function. This latest
development will enable logistics operations
to access key reports at a glance to support
trend analysis and the performance management of delivery teams. The reporting
dashboard will be available as standard to
all new and existing customers via fleXipod’s
browser-based central management console.
It will be possible to customize the tool initially across three core job-based data sets—
failure reasons, success rate, and window
adherence—so users can track delivery trends
and monitor operational exceptions.
Data will be viewable over a range of
different timeframes by individual day or
week, while a trend graph option will offer
an overview of the last 28 days or 52 weeks.
Users will be able to view information for
a full operation or multiple groups such as
depots or service teams. As a result, fleXipod
customers can now generate a business-crit-ical summary of performance data as well
as meaningful, like-for-like comparisons of
different parts of the delivery operation.
FleXipod removes paperwork from mobile
operations and enables real-time transmission of proof-of-delivery data to office-based
teams, providing enhanced job visibility,
improved customer service, and increased
staff productivity. (Paragon Software Systems,

Pharmaceutical returns service: Woodfield
Distribution LLC (WDSrx), a healthcare logistics services provider, has introduced a service
that allows manufacturers with bulk pharmaceutical returns to initiate the returns process
by sending a photo through their app or website. The image is received by a returns technician, who responds with a few additional
questions before quoting a fee for disposition
or return. When the return is approved, special transport arrives at the agreed-upon time
and clears out the unwanted product.
Even though the process is simple for the
user, WDSrx must follow strict protocols
when handling pharmaceuticals for return
or destruction, the company says. Its facilities are licensed by the Drug Enforcement
Administration for reverse logistics, including
the disposition of controlled substances.
Woodfield Distribution handles returns for
clients ranging from small pharmacies to
large manufacturers and institutional clients.

Space-saving tray: Storage solutions specialist Kardex Remstar has introduced a
“medium universal” tray for use with its Shuttle XP vertical lift modules. The extra-wide unit was developed to provide greater capacity in a larger tray size, gaining
more capacity per cubic foot. New design features include sturdier corner joints and
center bars as well as higher front edges to help improve the strength and stability
of the tray.
The new medium universal tray can be implemented by new customers but is
also compatible with older machines, the company says. (Kardex Remstar, www.
