Balemaster® balers
put more green in your pocket.
If you are not baling your waste now, or if you are baling manually, then
you’re spending too much time handling empty cardboard boxes. Balemaster®
balers can do the work for you. Balemaster® wide-mouth auto-ty balers send
money to your bottom line in many ways. Here are just two:
1. Conventional hand tying takes 7 to 10 minutes per bale. But Balemaster®
auto-ty balers process cardboard waste into a dense bale that is
automatically and securely tied in less than 30 seconds.
2. Balemaster® balers produce bales with the highest density per cubic foot.
So there’s more material per volume than any other baler. This reduces
annual baling wire costs and maximizes recycling revenue per load.
Balemaster® balers are engineered to save energy, improve efficiency, reduce
wire usage, and lower maintenance costs. Being green is good business. But
pocketing green is even better.
Don’t crunch the numbers any other way.
Conveyor transfer unit: Avancon SA, a
manufacturer of conveyor systems for unit
handling, has introduced its Omnidirectional
Transfer Unit (OTU), a device that moves
goods in almost any direction and can be used
for all purposes such as
infeeds, switches, diverters, crossing, transfers,
and sorters. These OTUs
can be universally combined into “OTU tables”
in any length and width, and adjusted respectively to the largest product to be conveyed.
The device, which consists of several
detailed parts made of techno-polymers, is
assembled in dovetail similar forms with a
belt and an incorporated toothed rack. The
unit features wheels with tires made of polyurethane. (Avancon SA, www.avancon.com)
Lift-truck scale: Forklift Scales Direct has
introduced a 5,000-pound Class II ITA carriage scale with a new design that uses fewer
parts than are found in comparable scales,
reducing both complexity and cost.
Oftentimes, forklift truck scales are built
as modifications of existing platform scale
designs, the company says. But repurposing a
design intended to measure a vertical load for
a forklift scale, which measures cantilevered
loads, creates a complex and convoluted
design, according to the manufacturer.
The new carriage scale was designed for
measuring the cantilevered load of a forklift.
The simple design (which includes less than
50 pieces) also reduces manufacturing costs.
The scale is easily attached to Class II forklift scale carriages in less than an hour, the
company adds. (Forklift Scales Direct, www.

Shipping container unloader: Bulk storage
and delivery solutions provider Arrows Up LLC
has introduced the Arrows Up Rack & Riser,
which helps shippers of frack sand and other
bulk commodities quickly unload product into
storage or transport receptacles.
The Arrows Up Rack & Riser allows for
100-percent gravity feed of bulk materials
from bins to storage or transport repositories
without the need for conveyors, belts, or vacuums. Combined with the Arrows Up Jumbo
Bin, which holds up to 25 tons of frack sand
or other material, the Rack & Riser replaces
significant storage and transportation infrastructure in oil, gas, and industrial supply
chains. The two systems also create transfer efficiencies and eliminate the need for
dust-suppression equipment, the company
says. (Arrows Up LLC, www.arrowsupllc.com)
Caster wheels: Caster Concepts, a manufacturer of industrial casters, rigs, wheels,
and accessories, has introduced its newest product line, Mammoth Custom Casters.
These ultra-heavy-duty caster wheels are designed to tackle extreme applications,
whether the need is for a caster to roll over glass without cracking it or to move
very large machinery or to swivel with exact precision.
Each Mammoth Custom Caster is engineered and designed by Caster Concepts’
engineers and built at one of the company’s three plants in Michigan. (Caster
