; Lee Stucky, former senior vice president and chief administrative officer
for Wal-Mart International, will serve
as the new board chairman at Kane Is
Able. Stucky was hand-picked for this
role by Gene Kane, the former board
chairman who passed away recently.
The new board marks the first time
non-family members will have a vote
in determining the company’s direction. Other non-family members new
to the board include Martin C. Murphy,
Tom Escott, Tom Speh, and Tom Hall.

been promoted to vice
president of strategic
sales for North America
at Damco. In his new
role, Heeren will manage the commercial
teams for the retail, refrigerated, and
chemicals sectors.

Chuck Moratz has been promoted to
chief operations officer. He has been
with Clark for more than 15 years,
most recently serving as vice president, truck operations and head of
Clark’s engineering department. Bo
Maslanyk has been promoted to vice
president of sales and marketing from
his previous role within the sales and
marketing department. And Jonas
Liening has been appointed Clark’s
inside sales coordinator.

hired Kevin Bauer as its new president. Bauer comes to Power
Packaging from The NutraSweet Co.,
where he served as senior vice president of global sales and marketing.
; Greatwide Logistics Services has
hired Steve Elliott as vice president of
brokerage. Elliott will be accountable
for all of Greatwide’s brokerage business, which includes Cargo-Master
and Gallop Logistics. Elliott comes to
Greatwide after spending 17 years
with Schneider National, where he
held senior leadership positions in its
truckload, intermodal, and brokerage
divisions.
; Frozen Food Express Industries has
tapped Rob Newell as the new vice
president of capacity development for
its FFE Transportation Services subsidiary. Newell, who has more than 26
years of transportation experience,
was most recently vice president of
capacity management at Greatwide.
; Crowley Maritime Corp. has promoted Jose Ayala to general manager of
operations for the company’s liner services group in Puerto Rico. Ayala, who
was previously the company’s director of
labor relations, will oversee port operations, equipment control, information
technology, and materials management.
