Trailer seal protector: Transport Security Inc.
has introduced its Enforcer Seal Guard Lock
#5950, which is designed to protect trailer seals
from unauthorized removal and tampering
while in transit. The guard lock will accommodate cable, plastic, metal, and bolt seals.
The Enforcer lock is mounted onto the
existing trailer latches and has a self-contained
design. Made from hardened steel and a corro-sion-resistant stainless steel surface, it provides
a high-security barrier, protecting the seal from
physical attacks. The guard lock has the option
of utilizing the Enforcer Abloy high-security
padlocks to secure the unit. (Transport Security

Wireless load cell: Straightpoint has launched
an ATEX and IECEx version of its most popular
product—the Radiolink Plus wireless load cell.
The new version is capable of both weighing
and dynamic load monitoring in hazardous
environments such as the on and offshore oil,
gas, and chemical industries in zones classified
0, 1, and 2. The explosion-proof product is
assembled on a brand-new production line to
ensure that the manufacturer can continue to
provide quick delivery to job sites around the
world.
The Radiolink Plus wireless load cell is certified as meeting the Zone 0 classification (an
area in which an explosive gas atmosphere
is present continuously or for long periods).
According to the company, most other wireless
load cells are categorized only as hazardous
as Zone 2 (an area in
which an explosive gas
atmosphere is not likely to occur in normal
operation and, if it
occurs, will only exist
for a short time).
The ATEX version
of the load cell and
wireless handheld unit
contains several safety
components that permit its use in Zone 0
environments. A separate storage area has been created at the company’s Havant, U.K., headquarters, and all production personnel have been specially trained
in the assembly of the explosion-proof units.
Straightpoint designed the Radiolink Plus
for use in industries and applications where
products that meet the requirements of ATEX
are required to work in extremely hazardous
environments. (Straightpoint, www.straight-

Remote control: Innovative
Products of America’s new
12-button remote control is
now available with the Super
MUTT (Mobile Unit Trailer
Tester) line. The 12-function
remote allows complete and
comprehensive trailer testing from over 200 feet away,
allowing users to manually,
automatically, or remotely test
all electrical circuitry and air
brakes, and access ABS codes.
The 12-button remote mirrors
the onboard features of the Super MUTT, making trailer testing easy, fast, and
thorough.
The remote-controlled Super MUTT trailer tester was designed to avoid CSA
roadside violations and eliminate downtime. Remote-controlled testing and diagnostics allow the Super MUTT to guide a technician through 91 critical points of
inspection and testing. Testing Mode assesses the trailer’s electrical circuitry to
identify wiring problems often missed during routine inspections. If a problem
is found, the Super MUTT instantaneously shifts into Diagnostic/Pulsar Mode. In
the case of a short circuit, Pulsar Mode will continue to monitor circuit condition,
applying current every three seconds for continued circuit testing. Once the short
is found and repaired, the Pulsar feature will instantly restore current to the circuit.
