Dominion Colour Corp. (DCC), announced the completion of
the sale of DCC to a management buyout team of DCC led by
Klein.
The transaction, effective March 25, 2008, encompasses DCC and all DCC subsidiary companies. Klein
along with Jack Nelligan, Bob Ralph and Mark Vincent,
who will all continue as senior executives of DCC in
their current positions, are the new owners of DCC.
KCC and the MBO team have agreed that the timing
is now right for the executive team of DCC and its subsidiaries to implement its own vision of providing color to
the world with the support of, but, independently of KCC.
The change in ownership will have no adverse impact
on DCC and its subsidiaries. All DCC operating divisions and subsidiaries will remain in tact and there will
be no changes in the organization as a result of the
change in control of DCC.
FORD GIVES TECHNICAL APPROVAL
TO SHERWIN-WILLIAMS’ AWX
Ford Motor Company recently approved the AWX waterborne refinish system from Sherwin-Williams Automotive
Finishes Corp. for collision repair centers on a global basis.
The AWX system has undergone the extensive technical
certification process to meet the Ford WSS-M2P100-D
standard. The Ford Group sets this technical standard to
assure that its vehicles are repaired using automotive
refinish products of the highest quality.
For compliance without complications, Sherwin-Williams
recently introduced AWX, a waterborne basecoat/clearcoat system that utilizes a proprietary resin system that behaves like
the solventborne systems of today, according to the company.
“We’re delighted that the Ford Motor Company has recognized AWX as a premium waterborne solution,” said Jason
Crager, OEM account executive, Sherwin-Williams
Automotive Finishes Corp. “Our goal in launching this product was to ease the fears and concerns body shop owners
have in changing from a solvent to a waterborne system.
Because AWX has solventborne-like application properties,
it ensures a seamless transition and conversion. Technicians
will be familiar and comfortable with the process already,
requiring minimal training and start-up costs.”
