Muralo launches eco-friendly interior line
at a ceremony held recently at the
Intercontinental City Stars in Cairo,
Egypt. Jotashield SuperDurable is a
low VOC, exterior product that is pure
silicone acrylic-based and is formulated to protect concrete from extreme
climate conditions in the region.
Jotashield Heritage High Build is a
single pack modified acrylic, water-based high build textured coating that
is ideal for buildings, which require
either a worn look or trendy look.
Muralo has introduced its Breathe Safe Interior Water-based Zero VOC finishes, its new line
of eco-friendly interior products.

NON-STICK COATING
Thermolon has introduced a new non-stick coating called Thermolon ‘Rocks’.
According to the company, it has nearly
three times the hardness and abrasion
resistance of any previous non-stick
coating. The coating was created at
Thermolon’s R&D center in Korea.

Breathe Safe is a virtually odorless,
high-performance water-based latex,
formulated with no harmful solvents
and based on a sustainable chemistry
technology. It is recommended for use
on previously painted wallboard, plaster or masonry. Breathe Safe meets or
exceeds Green Seal and LEED green
building requirements and it is ideal
for nursing homes, schools, babies’
rooms and health care facilities, as
well as the hotel/motel industries. It
is specified for space that is occupied
during painting. Breathe Safe is
available in flat, eggshell and semi-gloss finishes, and it can be tinted to
any color.

CORTEC’S MCI CRETESKIN
MCI Creteskin is a new industrial
strength release agent containing
Cortec’s Migratory Corrosion Inhibitors
(MCI). It is designed to protect equipment, vehicles and forms in the construction industry. This clear protective
coating inhibits the adhesion of concrete, other cemetitious materials, salts
and abrasives to painted and unpainted
metal surfaces. It also provides corrosion protection to the underlying substrate, enabling continued use and a
longer lifespan. Once cured, MCI
Creteskin provides an extremely durable
and resistant surface that will stand up
to high pressure and/or hot water wash-es typically used when cleaning concrete
trucks and mixers. The coating allows
easy cleaning with high-pressure water
as an alternative to using abrasive blasting or acids. Typical application uses
for MCI Creteskin include ready mix
and salt/sand truck chassis’, drum
