INTERNATIONAL PAINT’S
NEW INTERCURE 99
International Paint has introduced
Intercure 99, a in primer finish
technology that increases produc-
tivity while lowering VOC emis-
sions. The polyaspartic technology
is designed to help global steel fab-
ricators and OEM’s achieve anti-
corrosion performance and durable
color and gloss retention. Intercure
99 can be used as a one-coat,
direct-to-metal primer finish,
replacing a typical two-coat system
for ISO 12944 C3 environments.
Alternatively, in more corrosive
environments, it can be used as the
finish coat in a two-
coat system, replacing
the conventional
three-layer system.
Intercure 99 dries
hard in one and a half
hours in moderate
temperatures ( 77°F).
When combined with
Interzinc 52, a zinc-
rich epoxy primer as a
two-coat system for
ISO 12944 C5 environ-
ments, the entire system is hard
dry and ready to move in four and
a half hours. The high volume
solids formulation offers exceptional anti-corrosion and durability performance through fewer
coats, which helps reduce VOC
emissions from entering the
atmosphere. A two-layer system
with Intercure 99 contains approximately 40% fewer VOCs than a
comparable three-layer system.
Intercure 99 ideal for use where
steel or OEM equipment such as
wind tower sections, transformers,
mining equipment and pumps
need to be moved quickly.
