Jyoti Ceramic Industries was founded in 1970 in Nashik
town which is 180 km on the North-East of Mumbai, the
industrial capital of India. Jyoti Ceramic Industry is the
pioneer and leading manufacturer of Ceramic micro-macro
milling media, Ball mill linings and Technical ceramics.
Jyoti has established in the close vicinity two world class
technical ceramic manufacturing facilities comprising state-of-the-art Ceramic R&D Lab for testing and development of
newer ceramic materials. The company exports around 70%
of its production share to over 40 global countries including
the United States, Europe, South Africa, Japan, Australia,
Singapore, S. Korea, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Hong Kong,
Pakistan, Gulf etc. countries. Today, the company is in forefront in the industrial ceramic field.
TECHNOLOGIES:
New Wonder Ceramic Beads—Around 1995, Jyoti
developed a new wonder ceramic micro milling beads,
named Zirconox. Zirconox beads are tough, sapphire hard
and of high density > 6.2 gm/cc., and most cost-effective
for speedy milling and dispersion of 15 to 50K CPS viscous formulations in high/low speed bead mills. Thanks to
our global customers’ overwhelming response for Zirconox
beads, Jyoti had to increase its capacity manifolds to meet
the worldwide demand and today Zirconox has become
synonymous with ceramic milling beads. 90% of its production share is exported worldwide. Zirconox beads last
around 160 times longer than glass beads, 15 times longer
than MgO-stabilized Zirconia beads and 8 to 9 times
longer than ZTA. Zirconox beads are found most cost-effective for speedy, wet milling of high-viscous soft and
hard substances.
Zirconox milling beads are standardized for milling of
printing inks, auto and allied paints, enamels, glazes, pigments, dyes, magnetic coatings, electronic ceramics, pharmaceuticals, foodstuff, cosmetics, agrochemicals and a
host of many other soft and hard substances requiring
speedy dispersion and particle size reduction.
Zirconox beads are available in a wide range of nar-row/broad fraction sizes from 0.4 to 3. 3 mm dia.
Macro Milling Media—Jyoti has developed Zirconox
MACRO milling media in a wide range of sizes from 5 to 30
mm diameter such as spherical balls, cylinders with radius
ends and with radius corners used in ball mills, attritor mills
and vibro energy mills.
Ceramic Mill Linings—Since ages, world-over, paint and
coating industries are using ball mills and attritor mills for
wet milling and dispersion of ingredients and particle size
reduction. To obtain contamination-free milling, ceramic lining is indispensable. To prevent the problem of contamination
developed from the mill vessel during milling process, Jyoti
has developed interlocking type ceramic mill lining with
tongue and groove pattern. Linings are offered custom engineered in a wide range of sizes 25 to 75 mm in thickness to
suit 400 to 4000 mm and above size dia. ball mills.
For milling application the company also produces wide
range sizes low density (2.65 gm/cc) steatite and high density
( 3. 7 gm/cc), high alumina ceramic milling media, which are
low cost and commonly used for milling of substances and formulations, such as ceramic bodies, paints, colors, chemicals
etc. in ball mills and vibro energy mills.
NEW PRODUCT:
Jyoti has recently developed Zircosil–a new sapphire hard,
tough, medium density, 4. 6 gm/cc (Zirconium Silicate) micro
milling beads, which are non-abrasive, high wear resistant,
glossy, satin-smooth. Zircosil beads will prove to be a unique
micro milling media, specially to meet the needs of bead
mills designed and constructed for use of low/medium density 2.6/3.8 gm/cc glass/Zirconium Silicate beads, which cannot
take load of high packing density media.
GLOBAL CAPABILITIES:
Jyoti has established a
world-class, state-of-the-art
R&D Laboratory, spread over
around 1,000 square meters
of built up area of most modern construction equipped
with the latest generation apparatus such as X-Ray diffractometer, Laser based Particle Size Analyzers, Scanning
Electron Microscope, Thermal analyzer, X-Ray Fluorescence
Spectrometer and other relevant lab instruments.
Toll Room Cum Engineering Workshop—Jyoti has established separate engineering block equipped with latest generation CNC machine tools, where intricate molding tools and
special purpose production machines are built for captive use.
