technology of PSX products, which offers
a wide color range and low volatile or-
ganic compounds (VOCs), is used around
the world to protect water towers, roller
coasters, bridges, storage tanks and other
steel assets.
For example, DiLecce said the Peace
Bridge connecting Fort Erie, Ontario,
and Buffalo, NY was coated in PSX 700
products more than a decade ago and still
looks good despite brutal winters and humid summers. Earlier this year, the topsides of the USS Freedom, the lead ship
of the U.S. Navy’s littoral combat ships,
were repainted using Amercoat 240 edge-retentive epoxy and PSX 700 coatings.

Nippon Paint Auto has announced that
its products have been adopted by U.S.
auto parts suppliers. As a result, Nippon
Paint China has become a supplier of
coatings for U.S. auto parts.
In addition, BKNP Automotive
Coatings (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. has celebrated its five-year anniversary.
It was established by Nippon Paint
China and Bollig & Kemper, a leader
in automotive and coating for plastic,
based in Germany. Annual sales growth
in China has been ten times more than

Aviation Administration has approved its
coating operation and assigned it Repair
Station Certificate No. 6CVR217C.
QCS has been formed to offer a
choice to those companies forced to
procure proprietary aluminum-ceramic
“cold section” coating services from
sole source suppliers. QCS will offer
application of CeralUSA’s line of envi-
ronmentally friendly materials as well
as other traditional corrosion protec-
tion products.
QCS will market its coating services
to engine manufacturers such as Pratt
& Whitney, General Electric, Siemens
and their supplier base, to independent
service shops, and to the Department of
Defense. QCS’s Oklahoma City facility
has been equipped with the latest in en-
vironmentally compliant coating appli-
cation equipment such as temperature
and humidity controlled spray booths,
walk-in, air circulating, electric ovens,
and vibratory polishing machines.
