Designed for in-plant tinting of emulsion paints and ideal for low-odor architectural coatings, Aquadisperse pigment
dispersions provide extra strength and
value that customers find difficult to
achieve on their own, and are formulated
to be heavy metal-, APEO- and VOC-free.
The well balanced dispersant combination ensures broad compatibility and easy
incorporation into many other applications. They also offer high physical and
color stability, good wet rub resistance,
meet stringent specifications and are intermixable and pourable/pumpable.
The Aquadisperse family of water-borne dispersions features a range of 10
popular pigments ranging from Yellow
3, Yellow 74 and Yellow 42 to Orange
5, Red 112, Red 122, Blue 15:1, Green

Asahi Kasei to Build
Plant for Duranol
Polycarbonatediol
Asahi Kasei Chemicals has plans to construct a plant in China for Duranol polycarbonatediol (PCD), an intermediate for
high-performance polyurethanes.
PCD is used to make high-performance
polyurethanes with characteristics such
as exceptional heat resistance and water
resistance. Demand for PCD is growing
throughout the world as the polyurethane
market increasingly shifts toward higher-performance. A highly functional PCD
developed by Asahi Kasei Chemicals,
Duranol features greater compatibility
than ordinary PCD and enables polyurethanes to be obtained with greater softness than is possible with ordinary PCD,
according to the company. Duranol has
the leading share of the Asian PCD market for polyurethanes for synthetic leather in automotive interiors, polyurethane
coatings and UV-curable polyurethanes.
Demand for highly functional PCD is
forecasted to continue to grow briskly
