on average per molecule, at least two reac-
tive hydrogen atoms bound to nitrogen at-
oms; and a polyphenol novolac, wherein the
polyphenol novolac is present in an amount
of from 30%-45% by weight, based on
the total weight of the blend; wherein the
hybrid hardener is a liquid having a viscosity
lower than 20,000 mPa·s at a temperature
of 20± 5° C; and wherein the curable com-
position is a protective coating curable at
a temperature of from about − 5° C to ap-
proximately 50° C.

mation of less than 105K/s and a melting
point in the range of 800° C-1,500° C; and
thermally depositing the multi-component
alloy onto at least a portion of the substrate
to form a protective coating, wherein the
protective coating includes Fe phases along
with combinations of carbides, oxides and
borides and is a metallic glass wherein at
least a portion of the alloy has a combina-
tion of structural association sizes according
to the following: (i) 5 to 100 Angstroms, (ii)
