Ross Ribbon Blenders are built for a wide
range of bulk densities and applications
with many customizable features to meet
any special or heavy-duty requirements.
Ribbon Blender Model 42N-270 has a
maximum working capacity of 270 cu.ft. and
a full holding capacity of 300 cu.ft. The stainless steel wetted parts are polished to 150-grit
finish for easy cleanability. The gasketed three-piece cover, safety grating and pneumatically-operated 10” knife gate valve are all designed
to facilitate convenient ingredient charging and
dust-tight operation. The double ribbon agitator is precisely fabricated to produce a well-balanced axial and radial flow of powders
while holding tightly-controlled clearances
between the trough. The solid agitator shaft is
driven to 20 rpm by a 100 HP TEFC motor.
Unlike traditional belt-driven blenders
which are prone to slippage and losses in
efficiency, all Ross Ribbon Blenders are
equipped with a direct drive gearmotor
for more reliable performance and lower
maintenance. With Ross-supplied controls,
users receive a production-ready blender
and benefit from electronic speed control,
soft-start capabilities and overload protection without any wiring hassles.

Phoseon Unveils FireEdg
FE300 for Coatings & Inks
Phoseon Technology recently announced
the availability of new UV LED products
targeting pinning and curing of adhesives,
coatings and inks. The new FireEdge FE300
air-cooled products offer higher peak irradiance in a similar small form factor as
the earlier generation of FireEdge products. Additionally, Phoseon’s unique scaling
feature allows units to be stacked ‘end to
end’ with contiguous, uniform UV output.
These units are available in 365, 385, 395,
405nm wavelengths. A hub is also available
that allows users to power and control up
to five units. While bringing the three-tiered
benefits of UV LED curing (advanced capabilities, operating economics, and environmental advantages), Phoseon’s products add
additional capability with superior performance, integrated control, and outstanding

lem of wrestling with the installation of an
Agitator for poly tank applications. AMI has
developed the Quick Mount Agitator for ease
of installation and to accommodate and fit
over 4”, 6” and 8” poly tank openings with
any existing thread design. Now the Slip-On,
Quick Mount Agitator drive can be dropped
into and slipped over the tank opening and
secured within seconds without the need for
any tools due to its 3 point built in lock-down
method. The Slip-On, Quick Mount Agitator
is ideal for the coatings, chemical and many
other industries using intermediate bulk con-
tainer (IBC) and poly tote applications. The
agitator/mixer is a enclosed sealed system for
mixing batch quantities of low and medium
viscosity liquids thus eliminating the possibili-
ties of contamination and leakage. This qual-
ity American made product is designed for
heavy usage, abuse and to provide years of
continued service. The Quick Mount Agitator
is lightweight, portable; yet heavy duty pro-
viding maximum support and stability. The
agitator is made of solid stainless steel includ-
ing 3 folding blade impellers for ease of in-
sertion thru 4”, 6” or 8” openings. Agitator
shaft lengths available in standard sizes but
typically made to any length customer re-
quires. Impeller blades are also stainless steel
and offered in standard diameter sizes 4”, 8”
and 12’ diameters and up to any diameter re-
quired. The quick mount H.D. Quick Mount
Agitator is available in air-driven models.
