PPG Industries has appointed Shelley
J. Bausch vice president, global industrial coatings. She will report to Viktor
Sekmakas, PPG executive vice president.
Bausch joins PPG from Dow
Corning, where she began her career
in 1988. Most recently she was business vice president, finished products,
based in Midland, Michigan, leading
a unit with more than 1,000 employees and 15 plants that served internal
clients and delivered more than $2 billion of external sales. Previously she
served as a global executive director and
led the transformation of part of Dow
Corning’s commodity chemical business
into a Web-driven business model. She
also spent two years in Shanghai as global director, paper industry, and Greater
China leader, process and performance
industries, leading organizational design
and staffing for the marketing, sales and
technical service teams supporting the
paper and process industry.
Flint Named VP of Sales
and Marketing
Quest Automotive Products (QAP) has
appointed Mark Flint vice president
of sales and marketing for the Matrix
System and Pro-Spray brands. In this
role Flint will be responsible for harmonizing the Matrix System and Pro-Spray
programs, strengthening distributor relationships, and developing a strong and
nimble sales team. Flint has been in the
refinish industry more than 30 years.

New VP of Sales Joins
Resinate Materials Group
Resinate Materials Group, Inc., a provider of high quality, low VOC polyurethane dispersion (PUD) technology to
the coatings industry, has named Mark
Vasconcellos as its new vice president of
sales. He will be responsible for overseeing Resinate’s sales activities, which
includes commercial strategy, and managing key accounts and distributor relationships. Vasconcellos will report directly to
Brian Chermside, COO and will lead the
Resinate sales team. Vasconcellos prrevi-ously worked with BASF where he was
responsible for managing key strategic
accounts. Throughout his 30-year career,
he has demonstrated success for growing start-up companies and new business
units, and has made a strong positive impact on companies like Picassian Polymers
and Alberdingk Boley and Brenntag.
Elevance Hires Chief
Technology Officer
Elevance Renewable Sciences, Inc. has
hired Robert Kumpf as the company’s
chief technology officer. In this role,
Kumpf will focus on expanding the or-
ganization’s product and applications
development capabilities. Prior to joining
Elevance, Kumpf served as chief operating
officer at Plextronics, a leader in the re-
search, development and commercializa-
tion of conductive and semi-conductive
polymers and ink formulations, which
enable the commercialization of printed
electronic devices. In this role, he led
the company’s research, engineering and
manufacturing operations.
Personnel Changes at
Chromaflo Technologies
Chromaflo Technologies, one of the
leading independent global suppliers of
colorant systems, chemical and pigment
dispersions recently appointed Jeramy
Eckenrode to support the Coatings division by serving as a technical service representative within the Americas region.
In this role, Eckenrode will interface
directly with customers, and build relationships by troubleshooting technical inquires. He will report to Jadel Baptista,
who recently moved into the technical
service manager, Coatings position from
his former role as Coatings Product development manager – Americas.
Timothy Grabnic has been appointed
an analytical chemist. Grabnic is based out
of the Ashtabula, Ohio facility and reports
to Jeremy Powers, Analytical manager. In
this role, he works cross-departmentally in
areas of manufacturing, quality assurance,
color science, sales, product development
and technical service to develop innovative
solutions for customers.
Wayne Pedlar has been appointed to
lead manufacturing for Chromaflow’s
headquarters in Ashtabula, Ohio. Pedlar
will be responsible for the management
of production activities in the safest
means possible and the implementation
of process improvements which result in
customer satisfaction.
He will report to Mark Skouby, global
vice president of Manufacturing. Most
recently, Pedlar was a general manager
for a manufacturer of surfacing materials,
primarily in the architectural and institutional markets. CW
