Asian Paints Chooses New
Brand Ambassador
Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has
been selected by Asian Paints to endorse
its brand, Royale Play.
The brand which represents the power of transformation, was introduced in
2004 and targeted at women who take
an active role as a curator of home décor.
Royale Play stands for being younger, dynamic, fun, colourful, “opening up possibilities”, creativity and vibrancy.
“Deepika is today’s modern youth
style icon. I believe that she really em-

Berger Paints Begins
Production in Andhra
Pradesh
Berger Paints has begun commercial production at the Hindupur factory located
in Hindupur Mandal, Anantapur District,
Andhra Pradesh.
Earlier, the company had inaugurated its water-based paint manufacturing
unit with an initial capacity of 80,000
ton at Hindupur.
The factory has an initial capacity of
80,000 ton per year. In the final phase, the
factory will have a capacity of 320,000
ton per year.

with Council of Fashion
Designers of America to
Promote Design in America
Benjamin Moore will collaborate with the
Council of Fashion Designers of America
(CFDA), the leading not-for-profit trade
association of America’s foremost womenswear, menswear, jewelry and accessory
designers, to promote design in America.
This partnership marks the first time the
CFDA has teamed up with a home décor
brand to spotlight the influences of color,
design and entrepreneurship in America.
“Benjamin Moore and the CFDA will
work together to celebrate the aesthetic
impact and transformative power of col-
or, one of the most important and essen-
tial tools of design,” said Carl Minchew,
vice president of Color Innovation and
Design of Benjamin Moore. “There are
many synergies between our two worlds
and with the help of the CFDA, we will
bring together the architectural design
and fashion communities to advance our
trade and encourage entrepreneurship in
this industry.”
To kick off the effort, Benjamin
Moore will honor California-based
fashion designer Trina Turk with its in-
augural CFDA Trailblazer Award at
the HUE Awards in New York City.
Benjamin Moore also looked to the
fashion industry to tap the host for this
year’s event and named Simon Doonan,
the Creative Ambassador-at-Large of
Barneys New York to serve as the master
of ceremonies on September 29. Since its
inception in 2008, the HUE Awards has
been Benjamin Moore’s signature event
recognizing exceptional use of color in
architectural design.
“The creation of the inaugural
CFDA Trail Blazer Award is a testament
to Benjamin Moore’s continuing sup-
port of American Fashion,” said Steven
Kolb, chief executive officer of the
CFDA. “The CFDA is proud to partner
with Benjamin Moore throughout the

American Fashion Industry.”
During the next year, Benjamin Moore
and the CFDA will organize various
events, programs and collaborations for
CFDA members as well as the larger de-

Henkel China Awarded as
Distinguished Supplier by
Qoros
Qoros Automotive named Henkel China
a Distinguished Supplier of 2013, in a
bid to recognize their good cooperation
and Henkel’s significant contribution to
the R&D and application of new technologies. Leveraging its expertise and
experience in adhesives, Henkel provides
professional integrated automotive solutions for Qoros Automotive, including
sealing and structural, bodyshop and engineering adhesives, sealants and surface
treatment. Qoros is also Henkel’s first car
body line in Asia for new generation metal pretreatment process – Tec Talis.
Qoros Automotive is an emerging international automotive maker based in
Shanghai, China. It has a production base
in Changshu City, with an initial annual
capacity of 150,000 vehicles, which will
reach 350,000 in future. Henkel has been
actively engaged in the entire R&D process of Qoros Automotive, marked with
good communication and cooperation at
