Investments…check. Capabilities…check.
You can count on the Port of New York and New Jersey to be a critical link in your supply chain, offering
you more service options than any other port on the East Coast. Located in the heart of the Northeast
Corridor, the NY/NJ port moves more than $200 billion in cargo each year. Our port offers direct access to
all major world markets and 74% of its incoming vessels make our port their first port of call. With major
capital investments such as our 50-foot harbor deepening nearing completion and the Bayonne Bridge’s
navigational clearance for “Post-Panamax” ships, which we expect to be completed by late 2017, the port
will remain a premier center for your global trade for decades to come.
Having six container terminal operators, two Class I railroads, multiple trucking services, as well as extensive
warehouse and distribution options, means we can do more for your business.
Other key investments well underway
include:
• Building a replacement Goethals Bridge
• Widening, realigning, and updating port
roadways
• Constructing a fourth on-dock rail facility
