Manipulator unit: Air Technical Industries
(ATI) has developed a new unique five-axis
tool to handle and articulate large items in any
position needed.
The five axes are lift, extend, pitch, roll,
and grip up to 2,000 pounds and lifting from
ground level height to 12 feet. The addition
of available yaw axis as well as powered mast
rotation offers up to seven total functions.
The manipulator with the gripper is installed
on ATI’s Reversible Boom Crane (RBC-6000-
SPBW). This unit is self-propelled with infinitely
variable speed control and 90 degrees steering
capability to the left or right, giving the unit the
ability to turn on a dime.
All of the axes of the articularm are hydraulically actuated. The pitch axis has a range of
130°, roll axis is 180°, and yaw axis is 90° to
the left and 90° to the right—parallel to the
boom. The power source is 24 volts DC battery
powered.
A variety of grippers are available. One
gripper option features parallel flat jaws with
a minimum opening of eight inches and maximum opening of 16 inches. The most popular
gripper features round jaws to grab and hold
cylindrical items.
The controls are remote pendant push button so that the operator can be close to the
item lifted in order to closely monitor the articulation for precise positioning.
This is an ideal tool for ergonomic handling
and safety to avoid using the wrong equipment
in a makeshift application, the manufacturer says. It takes the load off the operator’s
back and uses the fingertip push-button control in handling heavy objects effectively. (Air

line of industrial attached-lid containers with
the addition of a new clear option for three
models, the 39085 ( 21. 5 inches long by 15
inches wide by 9 inches high), the 39120 ( 21. 5

high), and the 39170 ( 21. 5 inches long by 15
inches wide by 17 inches high).
Clear industrial attached-lid containers keep
contents highly visible and allow for quick identification of parts and supplies.
Injection-molded from industrial-grade polymers, Akro-Mils’ clear industrial attached-lid
containers are reusable plastic storage containers for use in shipping, distribution, order
picking, and storage applications. Attached
lids snap securely closed to protect contents

Work light: TVH in the Americas (TVH) has expanded its work light
selection to include the SYLED360R-FL. This light has a 360-degree
rotation on a swivel base, which allows the unit to be easily adjusted
and set into position for complete coverage of a work area. Other
features include a flood beam pattern with 12 LEDs and an output
of 1,400 lumens. Mounting is permanent, and hardware is included.
The SYLED360R-FL has a one-year warranty and IP67, CE, and RoHS

Stretch hood machine: Lachenmeier, part of SIG and a manufacturer of stretch
hood equipment and film, has released its new Lachenmeier Multi FleXL stretch
hood machine, designed to effectively secure and maintain the integrity of tall and
wide pallet loads throughout the supply chain.
With larger loads, such as roofing panels, plasterboard sheeting, corrugated
sheets, and wooden boards, proper load containment can be a real challenge.
Selecting the right type, size, and thickness of stretch hood film and the way it’s
applied are critical to ensure the load will withstand the static and dynamic forces
caused by handling, impacts, and vibrations during transit.
