Flow racks: Creform has introduced new heavy-duty flow
racks built with 42 mm pipe
and joint. Built to withstand the
rigors of an industrial environment and to hold heavy parts,
the heavy-duty flow rack is constructed of Creform 42 mm pipe
and joint, as well as heavy-duty
skatewheel conveyor, both durable, strong, and long lasting. The
combination provides extra capacity and rigidity to handle a rugged
industrial environment.
The fully assembled and ready-to-use racks will be nested inside
pallet racks, giving the user high-density flow racks at floor level
while retaining the upper levels of the pallet racks for bulk storage.
The rack features eight leveling feet and Creform’s heavy-duty
skatewheel conveyor. Low-friction skatewheel conveyors allow for
shallow flow lane angles suitable for both plastic returnable totes
and cardboard boxes. The flow lanes are angled for repeatable
container flow and presentation. The gravity design allows for first-in, first-out feed. The rack also features lane dividers, which help
ensure that boxes or totes stay securely in their respective lanes.

Automation software: Dematic has released its real-time software
automation platform, Dematic iQ 2. 1 for e-commerce and omni-channel retailers.
Dematic control software has always supported the unique challenges of online order fulfillment. To continue meeting and exceeding business requirements, the new, enhanced version of Dematic
iQ contains cost-saving features and advanced algorithms specifically designed to reduce order cycle time and improve order picking.
With a pick strategy called on-demand fulfillment, new orders do
not wait for the next wave or the next picklist. Instead, they are sent
near real time to the pickers who are already walking their routes
and are closest to specific pick locations.
The reduced order cycle time makes it easier to meet shipping
deadlines; customers get their last-minute orders when they want
them without expedited handling. Additional features include a
workflow framework that supports Android RF and voice devices.
The open architecture reduces equipment investment with a wider
selection of hands-free devices and more cost-competitive options.

Battery labels: Recent changes in lithium battery shipping regulations now require the use of both handling labels and documentation
on many packages carrying lithium batteries. To simplify compliance
with these shipping requirements, Labelmaster now offers a combo
2-in- 1 handling label and document label for packages carrying lithium ion or lithium metal batteries. These two regulatory-compliant
labels are printed as a single unit to ensure both the handling label
and document are affixed to the shipping carton as required.
The combo labels were developed to satisfy both HMR and ICAO
TI requirements for shipping lithium batteries. The handling label
and the document are separated by a perforation so the document
can be easily detached if necessary. The label is backed with a
“low-tack” adhesive that enables either label to be detached from
cartons with minimal to no corrugated fiber tear. (Labelmaster,
