H Atlanta is the unofficial capital city
of the Southeast, and a city of the future with strong ties to its past. The old
in new Atlanta is the soul of the city,
the heritage that enhances the quality of life in a contemporary city. The
city is the cultural and economic center
of the metropolitan area, home to
5,457,831 people and the ninth largest
metropolitan area in the United States.
No matter if you only have a few hours
or several days, Atlanta has much to
offer.
The following offers a list of different
places you should visit during your stay.
ATLANTA HISTORY CENTER
The Atlanta History Center features 32
acres of gardens, wildlife trails and wood-
land areas. The complex includes the Tullie
Smith Farm dating back to the 1840s, and
the fully restored 1928 Swan House man-
sion. The museum offers exhibitions on the
Civil War, African-American heritage, and
Miami Circle and the Bennett Street Dis-
trict for museum quality art and antiques.
NIGHTLIFE
Atlanta's hot spots are perfect whether
you’re looking to unwind, dance to Top
40, or spot celebrities. In the Downtown
Nightlife scene enjoy drinks and sports at
STATS and Taco Mac, or watch the world
turn from the Westin’s Sun Dial Restaurant
Bar & View. Relax with Wednesday Wind-Down at Centennial Olympic Park or have
a taste of drama at Agatha’s – A Taste of
Mystery. Rock your way to the Hard Rock
Cafe Atlanta to experience exceptional
“Love All, Serve All” service and delicious food inside a museum of rock music
Southern folk art, with a wing dedicated to
the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games.
