Launches Ecopac Pigment
Range
Cappelle Pigments NV has launched a
new range of products called Ecopac.
The Ecopac product range consists of
four new hybrid yellow pigments to replace lead chromates in an economical
way. The four products (Ecopac Yellow
9914C-9915C-9916C and 9917C) range
from medium yellow to reddish yellow
with a high opacity and color saturation.
They also exhibit excellent weather fastness properties, according to the company. The pigments are developed to be
used in solvent-based industrial and powder coatings. They can also be used in car
repair paints.
Evonik Launches SILOPHEN
Ambient Curing Silicone
Resins
Evonik recently introduced SILIKOPHEN
AC 900 and SILIKOPHEN AC 1000 silicone resins designed for the high temperature applications of industrial objects,
muffler coatings and oven coatings. Due
to their ambient temperature curing capabilities these resins permit energy-sav-ing coating application of large objects,
which would otherwise prove difficult in
a more traditional oven-cure.
Formulations with SILIKOPHEN AC
900 and SILIKOPHEN AC 1000 provide
excellent long-term heat resistance as well
as early chemical resistance after application, according to the company.
SILIKOPHEN AC 900 is very flexible
during heating and cools down. It is also
highly compatible with organic resins
and shows excellent wetting properties
with a wide range of pigments and fillers.
SILIKOPHEN AC 1000 provides excellent color stability.
Featuring a very low VOC content,
both products are environmentally
friendly and provide multifaceted, resource-efficient corrosion protection in
high temperature applications.

CMS Paints & Coatings easily scales

It also includes the ability to generate
batch orders within the software or receive orders from other order entry systems, printing attractive, easy to use paper
batch sheets. The software also features
VOC and TiO2 calculations, develops
formulations with full process specifications, eliminates errors commonly found
in manually generated recipes, generates

Master Bond Introduces
EP21SC- 1, a 2C Epoxy
Engineered with a silicon carbide filler
material, Master Bond EP21SC- 1 deliv-
ers abrasion resistance for an array of
chemical and mechanical processing ap-
plications. This epoxy has a smooth paste
consistency and a non-critical one to
one mix ratio by weight or volume. As a
two part system, it cures readily at room
temperature or more quickly at elevated
temperatures. With a Shore D hardness
exceeding 95, EP21SC- 1 is a rigid com-
pound that adheres well to treated metals,
ceramics and many plastics. Its physical
strength profile includes a tensile strength
greater than 6,000 psi and a
compressive strength of over
15,000 psi at room temperature.
Since the system is 100
percent reactive and does not contain
any solvents or diluents, it has minimal shrinkage upon cure. Additionally,
EP21SC- 1 is capable of withstanding a
range of chemicals such as water, oils,
hydraulic fluids, acids and bases. The
combination of the aforementioned
properties enables this system to be widely employed for maintenance and repair
of pumps, chutes, centrifuges, impellers
and tanks. EP21SC- 1 is serviceable from
- 60°F to +250°F. It is a competent electrical insulator and it has a low thermal
expansion coefficient. Both Parts A and B
are dark gray in color and are available
in standard packaging ranging from pint
to 5 gallon container kits. Master Bond
EP21SC- 1 features abrasion resistance
and convenient handling for bonding,
coating and sealing applications. This
two component epoxy also resists a variety of chemicals.
