Sherwin-Williams, through its Product
Finishes Division, announced the winners of its fifth annual ProVisions Vendor
Awards during a vendor appreciation
program. ProVisions is part of the complete product finishing solution offered to
OEMs and job shops, saving them time
and transaction costs by offering all of
the supplies they need on one order and
one invoice.
In addition to the complete line of
Sherwin-Williams coatings, customers
have access to more than 10,000 of the
supplies and equipment they use most, including test and safety equipment, abrasives, and spray equipment.
Winners of the 2013 ProVisions
Vendor Awards are:

North America and Nexeo Solutions.
EXEL North America is an expert in
finishing and dispensing solutions and
introduced the patented Airmix tech-
nology in 2013, resulting in a winning
program for both Sherwin-Williams
and its customers. Nexeo Solutions
provides thinner/reducer products and
is a back-to-back winner as a result
of its successful product program for
Sherwin-Williams.
•;Field;Sales;Support;Award;–;Touch
Up Solutions and Fandeli. Touch Up
Solutions, a supplier of wood touch-up
products, was recognized for the second
year in a row for increased sales and out-
standing distributor support. Fandeli, a
manufacturer of quality coated abrasives,
and was selected for its exceptional sales in
the southern region of the U.S. and its sup-
port of the ProVisions efforts in Mexico.

program in 2013 and offer expertise and
innovations that help our customers suc-

Inspection Plan to Reduce
Injuries and Illnesses
The Occupational Safety and Health
Administration has issued its annual
inspection plan under the Site-Specific
Targeting;2014;program;to;direct;en-
forcement resources to workplaces
where the highest rates of injuries and
illnesses occur. The SST program is
one;of;OSHA’s;main;programmed;in-
spection plans for high-hazard, non-
construction workplaces that have
20;or;more;workers.;The;SST;plan;is
based on data collected from a sur-
vey of 80,000 establishments in high-
hazard industries. “By focusing our
inspection resources on employers in
high hazard industries who endanger
their employees, we can prevent inju-
ries and illnesses and save lives,” said
Assistant Secretary of Labor
for Occupational Safety and
Health David Michaels. As
part of the SST- 14 program,
OSHA;is;conducting;a;study;to;evalu-
ate the effectiveness of the program
based on 1,260 randomly selected
establishments. Programmed inspec-
tions of nursing and personal care
establishments will continue under
OSHA’s Nursing and Personal Care
Facilities National Emphasis Program.
In;addition;to;the;SST;program,;OSHA
implements both national and local
emphasis inspection programs, which
include programmed inspections, to
target high-risk hazards and industries.
OSHA currently has 13 National
Emphasis Programs that intensify inspections on hazards or industries such
as lead, silica, shipbreaking, trenching/
excavations and process safety manage-
ment,;and;approximately;140;Regional
and;Local;Emphasis;Programs.;CW
