PPG Completes Acquisition of
High-Heat-Resistant Coatings Supplier
PPG Industries has completed its previously announced acquisition of substantially all of the assets of Hi-Temp
Coatings Technology Co., Inc., a private-ly-owned supplier of high-temperature-resistant and insulative coatings, based
in Boxborough, Massachusetts. Financial
terms were not disclosed.
The acquisition enhances the product
portfolio of PPG’s protective and marine
coatings business, adding coatings that
withstand extreme temperatures to protect both carbon steel and stainless steel
substrates. The coatings are used widely
in refineries, petrochemical plants, pulp
and paper mills and power plants.

more high-quality solutions for a variety
of customers, including those in the pet-
rochemical industry,” said Tim Knavish,
PPG vice president, protective and marine
coatings. “We look forward to leveraging
these products for multiple growth op-
portunities for PPG’s business.”

BASF Presents European
Construction Project
Build Tog at MIPIM in Cannes
BASF will present the European research
and construction project BuildTog
(Building Together, www.buildtog.eu)
at the MIPIM (Le marché international des professionnels de l’immobilier)
event in Cannes, France. The aim of the
project is to create a new generation of
residential homes in several European
countries combining energy performance with cost-efficient construction
and high-quality architecture. Build Tog
is a collaboration between the European
Housing Network EURHONET, the
French architect Nicolas Michelin and
his architecture firm A/NM/A, as well
as the German energy efficiency consul-tancy LUWOGE consult and BASF.

Day 2014

Markets Day in London. The event is intended to give analysts and investors further insights into the operational strategies

areas and featured an introduction from
CEO Ton Büchner as well as presentations
