Inttra Automatch: Through its research with
industry leaders, Inttra has learned that at least
25 percent of all invoices in the ocean freight
industry are disputed. In addition, companies
are spending hours and potentially hundreds of
dollars per invoice to manually process invoices
to detect discrepancies, initiate a dispute, and
then continue to manage the dispute.
As a provider of e-commerce solutions for the
ocean freight industry, Inttra now offers an automated invoice comparison and dispute initiation
system known as Inttra Automatch. Automatch
eliminates the need for manual invoice verification. Inttra Automatch identifies and initiates
invoice disputes automatically using configurable business rules established by the shipper.
The new software works with Inttra’s existing
dispute management module to match carrier
invoices to shipper freight estimates. Inttra
Automatch completes a line-by-line analysis
based on customizable, flexible business rules
that the shipper establishes. These business
rules are used to determine if an invoice dispute
should be initiated. If an invoice dispute is
determined to be appropriate, an immediate
notification is provided to the carrier and
appropriate individual/department in the shipper’s organization. If the invoice does not need
to be disputed, it is processed according to the
shipper’s established procedures.
By automating the dispute detection and initiation process, shipping partners can benefit
from reduced costs, shortened payment schedules, increased cash flow, quicker dispute
acknowledgement and resolution, and

CPP 130 and CPP 350 pallets: Cabka North
America has unveiled the CPP 130, a nestable
lightweight pallet that is compatible with all
roller and chain conveyor systems. The pallet
has a specially designed bottom support that
allows it to be not only nestable but also transported on automated conveyor systems.
Cabka also offers its new CPP 350 series of
customized pallets. The CPP 350 series pallet is
designed both to optimize cargo space and
serve as a display pallet. The pallets range from
half-size (like 48 x 23, 48 x 20, 40 x 27, and 40
x 24 inches) to quarter-size ( 24 x 20 inches).
There are also several formats in between,
including 27 x 23, 27 x 20, and 24 x 23 inches.
Cabka’s engineers have made all of the pallet’s
middle legs “double” legs and all the middle ribs
double ribs. This will allow the pallet to be cut
into smaller sizes without losing any of its stability or strength. These pallets can be produced in
small quantities as well as large quantities.

Westfalia storage and retrieval machine:
Westfalia has introduced a new storage and
retrieval machine (SRM) that is designed to
enhance the safety, comfort, and flexibility
of automated warehousing staff during preventative and periodic maintenance. The
new SRM offers a separate employee lift
cabin that is independent from the vertical
pallet lift and its load-carrying device. It is
able to transport one person in the lift cabin
up the mast of the SRM, thereby avoiding
the need for workers to climb up the service
ladder.
This user-related feature is especially suited to automated storage systems installed
at sites in the frozen food industry where
the low temperatures require the employee
to wear thermal clothing that can restrict
movement.
Customers have a choice of two lift cabin models: the regular cabin with the
controls put in dead man’s mode, or one that’s operated via a mobile control
panel. Both models are designed to maximize user safety and make it quicker for
workers to access the top of the storage/retrieval machine. This new, flexible technology can also be retrofitted on some existing SRMs, depending on mast
