Portable jib crane: Air Technical Industries has developed a
one-of-a-kind portable jib crane with an articulating forearm.
The device enables on-the-spot handling both indoors and out,
without permanent installation. Applications include machine
loading, lifting, transferring, stacking, and packing.
The new crane features the Articularm, a six-foot-long articulating forearm that rotates 360 degrees, providing 100-percent
coverage within the work area. The 10-foot main beam also
rotates 360 degrees for a total work area of a 16-foot radius.
The unit is equipped with an optional load balancer, making
the load weightless. It is an ideal ergonomic tool to help lift and
place any component with precise positioning for assembly, the
manufacturer says.
The device is available in three versions: a stationary, permanent
floor-mounted arm; a portable, self-supporting counterweight jib
crane with four-way fork pockets; and a combination unit with
unique telescopic mast. The crane is available with capacities of
500, 1,000, and 2,000 pounds. (Air Technical Industries, www.

Truck camera and monitor system: Orlaco has introduced
its CornerEye camera and monitor system, which replaces both
mirrors for Class V and VI trucks. CornerEye is the first system
that makes truck mirrors (front and curb view) redundant, the
company says.
This system consists of a high-definition quality camera and
monitor. A camera with a wide-angle lens is mounted on the
right front side of the cabin and provides a large, 270-degree
field of vision. A monitor is mounted in the cabin on the passen-
ger’s side and shows a real-time image. The driver’s view goes
beyond the mandatory fields of view.
CornerEye’s cameras provide better view and image quality
than regular mirrors, according to the company. Proper view and
image quality are also guaranteed under unfavorable conditions,
such as rain, fog, snow, and bright sunlight. (Orlaco, www.

Pallet jack scales: Fairbanks Scales Inc. has launched a series
of pallet jack scales, including the Pallet Weigh and the Pallet
Weigh Plus, that feature gross/net weighing, summing, and
automatic and manual zero correction.
The Pallet Weigh pallet jack scale combines
the functionality of a rugged pallet jack with
the accuracy of a Fairbanks scale, according to
the company. The device, which is easy to maneuver
into space-limited areas, is made with a high-tensile
steel frame and seamless forks. It weighs in either pounds
or kilograms as necessary and has a weighing error tolerance of
0.1 percent of the applied weight. The unit meets or exceeds
industry standards for accuracy, durability, and repeatability in
non-commercial applications, the manufacturer says.
The Pallet Weigh Plus was designed for legal-for-trade pallet
weighing applications. It can be used to check the shipping
weight of incoming or outgoing goods, to quickly count in-stock
parts, and to fulfill general product weighing needs. (Fairbanks
