High Capacity
Spiral
Conveyors
High Capacity Spirals are in
response to our customers’ need to
go higher and handle more weight.
They can handle double the weight
capacity of our regular spirals at speeds
up to 200 FPM.
Optionally these spirals allow loads to
enter or exit the High Capacity Spirals
at intermediate elevations. New special
induction and divert conveyors have
individually adjustable conveying surfaces
to match the spiral pitch, assuring a
smooth and reliable operation.

Collision sensor: TVH in the Americas has added a high-quality
collision sensor to its lineup of safety products. The sensor is able to
detect not only machinery like forklifts, but also pedestrians, which
can reduce collisions and injuries.
This high-tech sensor is programmed to detect motion within
25 feet in both directions using infrared motion detectors. It is also
equipped with highly visible LED lights placed on both sides of the
device. The lights will begin to flash when the sensor detects motion
to warn both the forklift drivers and pedestrians of an impending
collision.
The sensor is easily installed onto metal racking using the integrated
magnet mounts that are provided with the device. Also included is a
tether for added support and D-cell alkaline batteries that can last up to seven years. (TVH in

Reach truck: Combilift has introduced the Combi-MR, a multidirectional reach truck that
allows the operator to perform compact turns in confined spaces, creating the opportunity to
reduce aisle width and increase storage space. The multifunctional controlled joystick allows
the operator to change direction and travel speed in a smooth seamless motion, in addition to
maintaining full control of the hydraulic functions. The Combi-MR has the versatility to handle
both palletized and longer loads.
The low operator’s entry and exit design is achieved by the positioning of the large
drive wheel to the rear right corner. The single drive wheel is fitted with a large
16-inch rubber tire and features 360-degree steering rotation. AC technology in the
drive and steering ensures optimum and efficient performance. The rear articulated axle provides maximum traction and a smooth ride for the operator, especially across uneven floors.
Operators are also assured of a comfortable and safe working environment, thanks to the
stand-up overhead guard design, which offers excellent visibility of the surrounding area.

Mobile app for drivers: CX North America, a freight collaboration solutions provider for
the transportation industry, has launched its next-generation mobile app for drivers. The app
provides real-time information exchange and tracking within the context of specific freight
shipments, offering drivers, fleet managers, brokers, and customers the most up-to-date
information possible. Beyond delivering location, communication, and control functionality at
the tap of a finger, the app offers a means for enhanced vehicle utilization, better load and
capacity management, lower fuel consumption, and reduced carbon emissions.
The app integrates seamlessly with CX North America, the firm’s online platform, and with
most telematics and transportation management systems. It is available for Google Android
operating systems now, with the Apple version coming soon. It is free of charge for CX North
America subscribers and for companies doing business with subscribers. (CX North America,

Labels with polyester liners: Smith Corona has introduced two new four-by-six labels: direct
thermal and thermal transfer, both with polyester liners.
The new labels are designed with a three-inch core with an eight-inch outside diameter,
are perforated for hand-apply usage, and are compatible with Zebra printers as well as other
industrial printers. The direct thermal and thermal transfer labels come in rolls of 1,000, with
four rolls to a case.
Smith Corona’s thermal transfer labels do require the use of thermal ribbon, whereas the
direct thermal labels do not. (Smith Corona, www.smithcorona.com)
Pallet jack: Mighty Lift Inc. has introduced the Sept33 semi-electric pallet truck with a 3,300-
pound load capacity. The compact and light design is suitable for a variety of light-duty applications in warehouses or delivery applications on trucks with tail lifts.
The Sept33 has a built-in charger that gives users flexibility to charge anywhere, with no
bulky external charger to deal with. The discharge indicator features an automatic battery
shutdown that prevents deep discharges, protecting the batteries and ensuring a long lifetime.
The pallet jack was designed for protection with a motor and wheel metal guard that shields
the user’s feet from injury. (Mighty Lift Inc., www.mightylift.com)
