Transportation software: ALK Technologies’
latest version of its routing, mileage, and
mapping software, PC-Miler 30, is now tested
and approved in TMW’s portfolio of transportation and fleet management products,
including ExpertFuel software, TMWSuite

Users gain access to the latest street-lev-el maps of North America with updated
addresses, roadways, and commercial vehicle
restrictions for precise mileages, drive times,
and overall trip cost estimates.
Customers will also have the option to use
additional PC-Miler 30 features that include
a new weather visualization and reporting
tool for making critical decisions to route
drivers safely around a potentially hazardous
area, notify customers of a potential delay,
or simply monitor the route throughout the
designated alert times; more precise ETAs and
drive times with the choice to set governor
road speeds; and improved Hours of Service
(HOS) compliance tools to keep drivers safe

Enhanced transportation management
system: Trucker Tools, the provider of the
Load Track driver smartphone app and the
automated Load Track platform, has integrated the app’s Load Track feature with
Efreightsolutions’ cloud-based transportation
management system, allowing it to provide real-time freight tracking, driver messaging, and electronic proof-of-delivery (POD)
through an embedded feature set.
By using the Load Track feature in the
app, drivers can view pickup and delivery
details for shipments, instantly message dispatch, and enter the “signed by” name of
the consignee and capture POD document
images. The images are automatically uploaded and attached to the shipment profile
in Efreightsolutions to expedite the billing
process.
Pricing for the integrated Load Track feature starts as low as $1.05 per load for freight
brokers with high volumes. The location
updates are continuous and in near real time,
with no limitations on the number of days
and stop events from pickup to final delivery.
