Tablet computer: Xplore Technologies Corp.
has launched the Xslate R12, a next-generation detachable rugged tablet PC. The
company says it incorporated specific customer
feedback into its 12.5-
inch rugged tablet design
to deliver a new mobility
solution that is both powerful and reliable enough to be the primary
computing device for workers in the field.
The Xslate R12 incorporates a number of
customer-requested features, such as antenna pass-through capabilities, an RJ- 45 +
Serial Port dongle, and a Bluetooth-enabled
keyboard that magnetically stows on the back
of the tablet even when docked. These and
other features allow the Xslate R12 to provide
the flexibility and connectivity needed by any
worker transitioning between field, vehicle,
and office locations. (Xplore Technologies

Document receiving portal: Aljex Software
has launched its Inbound Document Portal
(IDP), a Web-based application that facilitates
the administration of receiving documents.
Through use of a dedicated e-mail address,
inbound documents automatically appear in
the IDP, where they are identified by a pro#.
Once a pro# is selected, all relevant shipment
information populates the screen, alongside
all the functions necessary to perform freight
bill auditing. While the document is visible on
screen, carrier payments can be processed,
customer invoices audited, and documents
filed away. Documents are filed in Aljex’s document imaging module, where documents
are organized and stored in the cloud.
The IDP is a free update to Aljex’s document imaging module. (Aljex Software, www.

Dock scheduling calculator: Yard management and dock scheduling systems provider
C3 Solutions has launched its revamped dock
appointment scheduling ROI calculator. The

help businesses determine dock appointment
scheduling cost-saving opportunities. The ROI
calculator is available on the company’s website at www.c3solutions.com/dock-schedul-
ing/roi-tool/.
The free online evaluation takes approximately five minutes to complete. Following
the evaluation, the user receives a full ROI
calculator report that includes current estimated appointment scheduling costs and
total estimated potential savings per year. (C3

High-speed label printer: Weber has introduced the L-A 6000 label printer-appli-cator, which is designed for high-speed distribution center labeling.
The system is able to print and apply labels to cartons of various heights on the
fly, which makes it a good fit for production lines that handle address labeling for
different-sized packages. The L-A 6000 features interchangeable dispensing heads
that allow the use of different label sizes, as well as print engines by leading manufacturers such as Zebra and Sato, which enables an optimal match to the application and its specific printing requirements (thermal-transfer or direct-thermal).
