Price management software: Portrix
Logistic Software (PLS) has released a major
upgrade of its global price management
(GPM) software, GPM 2. 5. The revamp introduces a new user-interface design to further
simplify a product delivering enhanced clarity,
productivity, and value to the complicated
process of managing multimodal logistics
costs and surcharges.
PLS says it is the trusted choice of the
freight forwarding industry, with five of the
top 10 global names choosing its GPM solutions. The new release, GPM 2. 5, illustrates
PLS’s commitment to continual development,
drawing on its unique software toolbox and
wealth of master data to improve the user
experience, according to the company.
GPM’s upgrade features numerous highlights. Users can now access new depths
of information on a single screen, showing
their sell rate to customers, their total buy
rate from providers for a movement, and the
net-rate, which deducts all discounts provided
by partners. In addition, the software offers
minimum sell rates.
GPM 2. 5 is available for purchase, through
a standard license, or for delivery on a soft-ware-as-a-service (SaaS) basis, whereby PLS
operates the software on its own servers and
makes it available online. GPM 2. 5 can be

has introduced the CubiScan 325, an
advanced dimensioning system designed to
accurately measure and weigh difficult, irreg-ular-shaped items for distribution, packaging,
and warehouse fulfillment. The 325 integrates infrared sensing technology to measure odd-shaped objects with great precision.

a dimensioning solution
for challenging shipping,

operations. The CubiScan 325 is designed
to maximize storage space and enhance
cartonization methods, which can reduce

by the 325 can also help users in their efforts
to reduce packaging waste and minimize fuel
