Berger Paints India Limited was founded in 1923 and is a leader in the Indian paints market. The company manufac- tures and markets a range of decorative and industrial paint
products and has operations throughout India with seven manufacturing facilities, more than 135 depots, approximately 3,000 employees and more than 15,000 dealers.
The company recently announced plans to open a plant in the
Russian town of Nevinnomysk in the Stavropol region. News outlets have reported that Berger officials are finalizing a site for the
factory at Nevinnomysk, for which four to six hectares of land are
required. The company plans to invest at least $5 million in the
project and create approximately 50 jobs.
Chugoku Marine Paints manufactures paint for ship, indus- trial and containers uses, as well as adhesives. The company recorded sales of $862.807 million for 2014. The company
was established in 1917 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. The
company offers paints for large vessels, pleasure boats and yachts,
marine containers, fishing boats, and fishnets; protective paints for
anti-corrosive protection; paints for building materials and woodworking; functional paints; heavy duty paints; paints for plastics;
and caulking material for railways. It is also involved in the sale
of painting related equipment; management and contract work for
coating; inspection of surface treatment and coating; and other activities.

Materis Paints SAS is a manufacturer of construction ma- terials including decorative and industrial paints for the professional and consumer markets. Materis has four
businesses: admixtures (Chryso), aluminates (Kerneos), mortars
(Parex Group) and paints (Materis Paints). The business is a unit of
Materis SA, which is 76 percent owned by French investment firm
Wendel. Materis Paints is Europe’s fourth-largest manufacturer
of decorative paint and manufactures, sells and distributes a wide
range of decorative paint and technical products to professionals
and consumers. 66 percent of its activity is in France, 28 percent in
the rest of Europe and eight percent in emerging economies. Materis
Paints has strong local brands in the top three of each of its markets
(Tollens and Zolpan in France, Robbialac in Portugal, Max Meyer
in Italy, Colorin in Argentina, and Claessens in Switzerland).
