; Damco, a freight forwarder and supply chain solutions
specialist, has announced two appointments to its management team. Stefan Weber is the new head of carrier
management for North America. He comes to Damco
from Kuehne + Nagel, where he focused on route management and ocean freight. In addition, Damco has
named Ricardo Van Duijkeren as its new head of air
freight for Europe. He has been with Damco for four
years, most recently as air-freight manager for the
Netherlands.
; Conveyco Technologies has hired Todd
De Vries as account executive. De Vries,
who has worked in the material handling
industry for 19 years, has extensive experience in conveyor technologies and storage
solutions.

; Derek Kissel has joined the NFI Logistics team as a brokerage account manager. Prior to joining NFI, Kissel
served as a senior sales representative for C.H. Robinson.
; Lucas Systems, a provider of voice-directed warehouse
applications, has added three senior sales and business
development executives. Les Huet joins the company as
director of business development. He brings more than 25
years of experience to his new position, including 15 years
at Marc Global and 7 Hills Software. Also new are Barry
Bijonowski and Ed Frantz, who join Lucas as senior
account managers.
; Supply chain software provider Manhattan Associates
has promoted Eddie Capel to executive vice president and
COO, and Dennis Story to executive vice president and
CFO. Prior to their promotions, Capel had been executive
vice president, global operations and Story had been senior vice president and CFO.
; Florida East Coast Railway, a regional
freight railroad that extends between
Miami and Jacksonville, has hired Joel
Haka as executive vice president and COO.
Haka, who brings more than 30 years’
experience in maritime operations to his
new role, most recently served as senior
vice president and COO of CMA CGM (America) in
Norfolk, Va.
