Success at Confederations
Cup
AkzoNobel has supplied high performance coatings systems for half of the
stadiums being used at this month’s
FIFA Confederations Cup football tournament in Brazil.
Held June 15 to 30, the three stadiums that featured the company’s coatings are the famous Maracanã in Rio de
Janeiro, the Estádio Nacional in Brasília
(which hosted the opening ceremony)
and the Arena Pernambuco in Recife.
Used to protect steel structures
(seats and rooftops) and walls,
AkzoNobel supplied protective and
powder products for the three venues
via its International Paint, Interpon
and Coral brands.
