Cloverdale Paint maintains more than 100 retail stores and a network of dealer outlets across Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest. The firm manufactures architectural and industrial maintenance products. Directly and through subsidiary companies in Calgary, Alberta (Far-go Paint Inc.) and Portland, OR (Rodda Paint Company), Cloverdale operates manufacturing plants in Surrey, Portland, Winnipeg, Edmonton and Calgary. In terms of acquisitions, Cloverdale most recently bought Guertin Coatings of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, which produces liquid and powder industrial coatings, resins, sealants and adhesives in a 78,000 square foot facility in Winnipeg.

The company was founded in 1985 under the name Kantara Paints and Chemical Industries specializing in car refinish paints. In 2002 the company opened its current headquarters located in Port Said and changed its name to Kapci Coatings. In 2012 Kapci generated revenue of $169.9 mn. Car refinishes accounted for 52 percent of sales; architectural and decorative coatings 32 percent; and wood finishes accounted for the remaining percentages. Kapci Coatings’ production facility is located on 210,000 square meters of space where the company has an annual production capacity of roughly 80,000 tons per year. Kapci Coatings is currently exporting its paint products to more than 42 countries around the world. It has four branches in China, India, Brazil and the UAE. Kapci recently launched Kapci Dima, a waterborne based coating.

Russian Coatings has been gradually increasing its sales vol- ume. In 2012 the growth of sales volume was 9.1 percent. The production volume amounted to 96 percent in tons due to the sales decrease of decorative-building materials based on organic solvents. Considerable growth of water material sales volume allowed this business to keep the volume of realization at the level of last year. BRITE Hausweiss products (made with Teflon technology) and PREMIA products (antimicrobic paint with ions of silver) saw growth. Automobile OEM business also increased its sales volume by 16 percent. The process of localization of OEM materials for the Dupont Russian Coatings JV is one of the strategic goals of the further development of this business. The share of localized products in the volume of automotive paints in 2012 constituted 84 percent.
