ording to Seicoat, recent growth has been
spurred by its offer to remove any and all
graffiti, free of charge, for up to three
years, if Seicoat is contracted to apply its
Graffiti Proofer coatings to the sub-
strates chosen. This offer is making
municipalities and other agencies take
notice as a way of reducing maintenance
budgets. The Graffiti Proofer coatings
are clear, UV stable, chemical and abra-
sion resistant and provide true non-stick
surfaces that resist paint, permanent
markers, stickers and adhesives. The
products incorporate a nanotechnologi-
cal constituent that both penetrates the
surface and builds a durable non-stick
and chemically resistant film. Further,
the products are non-toxic, environmen-
tally friendly, non-reactive and VOC,
AQMD and CARB compliant.

repair work performed on Opel and
Vauxhall branded vehicles. As part of
GME’s efforts to improve the perform-
ance and quality of its bodyshops, the
scope of the agreement has been expand-
ed to cover aspects which go beyond
product approval. Under the terms
agreed, Standox will support the
European Opel and Vauxhall dealership
networks in all technical matters related
to professional vehicle refinishing. This
also includes a comprehensive knowl-
edge transfer, with Standox playing an
active role in the training programs
organized by GME for its bodyshops.
Standox experts will offer training
events and seminars on refinishing tech-
niques and coloristics and give advice to
the bodyshops in other areas, such as
process improvements and business
management.

EUROPEAN MARKETS BOND WITH AKZONOBEL’S STICKERFIX REPAIR SYSTEM AkzoNobel Car Refinishes has launched a new do-it-yourself (DIY) repair and protection solution for minor car scratches. Already launched in ten countries across Europe, StickerFix is an adhesive system which uses patented AkzoNobel paint technology in combination with a specially developed vinyl sticker. SANSIN EXPANDS WOOD PROTECTION LINE WITH NEW DEALER NETWORK IN CANADA The Sansin Corporation, Strathroy, Ontario, Canada announced that its Enviro Stain products will now be available throughout Southern Alberta through a new partnership with Overwalls Paint and Decor in Calgary, Alberta. Overwalls will be providing its customers with Sansin’s complete range of interior and exterior wood coatings and sealants. Sansin’s non-filming, waterborne alkyd formulas combine the benefits of both oil- and water-based coatings, using water as the vehicle to allow oil to penetrate deep into the wood, leading to long-lasting durability and easier maintenance, unlike film-build coatings that can crack or peel, according to the company. Sansin’s range of stains is available in more than 80 colors. Sansin wood protection stains can now be found at five locations across Calgary.
