Hydrite’s business segments include chemical distribution,

Most recently Hydrite Chemical Co. entered the graphic arts
market by entering into an agreement with Rohm & Haas to
manufacture and market the Lucidene™ emulsions and
Morcryl™ solution resin product lines.

PRODUCTS’ SCOPE:
Hydrite offers a complete line of Lucidene emulsions,
Morcryl solution resins and Suppressor foam control products used in graphic arts, paint, coatings, inks and adhesives.
MAJOR PRODUCTS:
• Graphic Arts – The Lucidene™ emulsions and
Morcryl™ solution resins have a long history in the water-based ink and coating market for quality and superb performance. Applications include pigment dispersion, paper,
paperboard, film inks and high gloss functional overprints.
Hydrite continues the tradition of meeting the needs of
flexo and gravure ink producers with a full range of
styrene/acrylic technologies.
• Foam Control – Hydrite offers a broad range of technologies and service to the paints, coatings and graphic arts
market to assist in production and processing. Chemistries
offered include silicone, organosilicone, mineral oil, synthetic and waterbased. Hydrite’s full-line of defoamers,
antifoams and air release agents is designed to help both small
market producers as well as large multi-national producers.
• Process Organics – A commercial toll processing facility which offers custom reactions and synthesis, as well as,
distillation and refining capabilities. Hydrite offers reactors sized from 2,500 to 11,000 gallon systems. We also
operate four packed distillation columns ranging from
5,000 to 10,000 gallon reboilers. We also offer multiple thin-film evaporators sized at 37 sq. ft. each.
• Distribution – Hydrite is the 8th largest chemical distributor in the United States. Products provided to industrial markets include organic and inorganic chemistry as
well as a full toll blending operation that is cGMP approved to
blend food and industrial type products. Aside from distribution,
Hydrite also offers waste management and recycling capabilities.
TECHNICAL AND R&D CAPABILITIES:
With a full service state of the art laboratory in Milwaukee,
WI, Hydrite supports all graphic arts customers on ink,
overprint or foam control projects. Hydrite provides solutions that make our customer’s products better. Hydrite
offers a high level of technical service expertise, multiple
process and chemistry technologies, and strong analytical
capabilities in support of the industry and new product
development.

Hydrite’s Cottage Grove East process organics facility is
