Buhler PARTEC presents Oxylink, a
waterborne performance additive for
water-based resin systems. Oxylink
increases cross-link density, which
results in improved solvent-rub
resistance, blocking resistance,
humidity resistance, dirt pick-up and
accelerated drying. Other coating
parameters such as in-can stability,
open time, gloss and adhesion don’t
decline. Oxylink is applicable in a
broad variety of formulations includ-
ing clear and high gloss coatings. The
proprietary composition is based on a
unique nanoparticle dispersion tech-
nology. PARTEC is a division of global

At ACS 2010, Celanese Emulsion
Polymers will highlight new additions
to the EcoVAE line of emulsions for
environmentally-friendly paints.
EcoVAE 408, for example, is specifical-
ly designed to address freeze-thaw
stability. Using this emulsion, manu-
facturers can formulate a low VOC
coating that achieves five freeze/thaw
cycles without harm to the paint. As
exhibitors, Celanese hopes to show
more producers of paint how EcoVAE
emulsions can help them meet VOC
requirements and other green certifi-
cations. At ACS, Celanese will also
spotlight its TufCOR line of emulsions
designed specifically for construction
products, such as caulks and sealants,
mastics, tape joint compounds and
cement bonding and admix. Celanese
