The pipe coating division of Shawcor Ltd., Bredero Shaw is the world’s largest pipe coating manufacturer with sales of roughly $800 million in 2011. During the year
it signed a deal with Chevron Australia Pty. Ltd. to provide
pipe coatings and related products and services in connection
with the gas supply trunkline and flow lines for the Wheatstone LNG Project off the northwest coast of Australia. The
company also won a $400 million contract from Mitsui & Co.
Ltd., to provide pipe coatings and related products and services
for the gas export pipeline that will serve the massive Ichthys
LNG Project, a joint venture between Inpex Corporation and
Total E&P. This project will involve advanced coatings for approximately 900 kilometres of 42 inch subsea pipeline from
the offshore central processing facility to the onshore LNG facility at Darwin, Australia.
DuluxGroup consists of Paints Australia, which is Australia’s leading manufacturer of premium branded decorative paints, texture, protective and wood care coatings products;
Paints New Zealand, which is New Zealand’s leading manufacturer
of premium branded decorative paints, texture and wood care coatings products; Selleys Yates, which is Australia and New Zealand’s
leading manufacturer of home improvement and garden care products; and the Offshore and other segment comprises Australia and
New Zealand’s leading manufacturer of powder and industrial coatings. Excluding the Selleys Yates operation, DuluxGroup recorded
sales of $767 million in 2011. Australia accounted for 82 percent of
sales, New Zealand 12 percent, and Asia and PNG six percent. In
