Helios Group is the leading manufacturer of coatings in South Eastern Europe with approximately 3,000 employ- ees in more than thirty companies in fourteen countries
and recorded sales of $470 million in 2011. Recently Helios
strengthened its operations in Slovenia and opened a car refinishing
coatings center and a production plant for water-based coatings in
Domzale. The center has 2.400 square meters of usable surfaces and
it brings together development, sales and educational capacities of
Helios’ car refinishing operations. The coatings manufacturer also
opened a center for metal coatings in Medvode, Slovenia. Helios invested € 14 million in the three projects. Additional resources will
be invested in the production plant for water-based coatings and the
car refinishing coatings center until 2012. Currently the production
capacity of decorative and car refinishing water-based coatings is
500 tons per month.

Betek Boya ve Kimya Sanayi AS, whose name is the com- bination of the first syllables of the Turkish words “Beton” (meaning “concrete”) and “Teknoloji” (

Ennis Traffic Safety Solutions is a global provider of pave- ment marking materials and traffic safety products. Headquartered in Dallas, Texas the company’s traffic
paint business recorded sales of approximately $400 million
in 2011. Ennis operates 14 facilities worldwide including the
U.S., Canada, the UK, Turkey, Italy and Australia. In 2011 Za-ganite Industries Pty Ltd joined the Ennis family and continues
to operate from its facility in Dandenong, Victoria, Australia.
The operation in Dandenong is managed by Dominic Iemma,
a technical expert in the formulation of traffic paint. Also during the year, Ennis’ traffic paint products were approved for
sale and distribution by the Mexican government. Leading the
Ennis team in Latin America is Alberto Merinos, marketing
and sales manager for Latin America and the Caribbean.
